Before
A dream of stages, a body that remembered danger
Noel dreamed of being a speaker. She wanted impact and had many stories. But visibility was one of her biggest fears. Growing up during a dictatorship, she had learned that speaking up was unsafe — and her body still remembered. Every time she tried to record a video, she never actually uploaded it. On top of that, she had no idea how the speaking world worked: how to turn her stories into a keynote, how to get on stages, or how to position herself as the expert.
The challenge
Too many stories, no clear throughline
From Uruguay during a dictatorship, to losing her mom early in life, to experiencing 9/11, to building a dream life in Malibu, to losing her home during the LA fires — the challenge was never finding stories. It was choosing the most strategic ones, turning them into a keynote that lands, and bringing them together into one clear message.
What we built
Confidence, keynote, boutique stages
Instead of building a "stage persona", we focused on Noel feeling safe being herself on stage. Through repetition, storytelling and practicing in a safe environment, visibility stopped being dangerous and started being a vehicle for impact. We captured her stories, selected the most impactful, built a clear throughline, and delivered everything in a way that felt authentic. Then we positioned her for the rooms she actually wanted — what she now calls "boutique stages": smaller rooms, high-level people — and structured the offer so she could charge what she was worth.
“
"I went from not speaking at the dinner table to speaking on stages, going viral and becoming known for my message. Laurie helped me become the woman who can inspire people at the drop of a hat. And at 55 years old, that feels really powerful. I didn't believe getting paid for speaking was possible for me… and here I am."
After
A $6K fee, a viral keynote, and a woman who loves speaking
Noel now confidently charges $6,000 for a speaking gig and shared the stage with industry experts like Equinox founder Lavinia Errico. She has spoken nationally in LA, Atlanta and Scottsdale and had her first international gig in Puerto Rico. She sees herself as the expert — and is seen like one. The woman who once felt unsafe being visible now actually loves speaking, feels more confident in her own skin than ever, and wakes up with a sense of purpose.
